Cerita Si Oma

It's sad that we (Stefy and I) have to head back to Holland next Friday (22 Jan). We have spent more or less 5-6 weeks in Indonesia. We have done a lot of things, from work to fun, from meet up some friends to family gathering. We have had lots and lots of joy and blessing here! We thank God for that! Some people may cheer that they are going back to Holland, the land of freedom - the land where Euro is the currency, where the people do not bother who you are and what you do, where discrimination is none, where you can do whatever you want to do. For me, Holland is a second home - a position that couldn't ever be replaced whatsoever. Hence the result it is really sad to go back to the second home and leaving the first one. For us, Holland is a land where opportunities and challenges exist abundantly. However, we regretfully have to admit that life is extremely boring in Holland. Without any means to give any clues about anything :P I came across these two songs that I have put in my wedding songs list. These two songs are those that I find very special. And I definitely want Bang Tepy to remember to play (or if he dared, to sing) on our wedding day. Once again, this post has no means to give you a hint about anything. This Jamie Foxx song is really powerful. I am still in tears after hundreds attempts to watch this without crying. Pay attention on the lyrics. This Steven Curtis Chapman is not only portaryinga love of a spouse, but I believe it is also a song that God is singing to us every single day. That's why thing song is sooo special. In case he forgot, you can always remind him :)

Pic01: Bang Tepy with Janoah and Sennah (Tamara's kids) - They loved Bang Tepy; altho it was a bit hard for Bang Tepy to understand Janoah's Dutch (he is two). Pic02: Bang Tepy cut garlics and onion in Ardy & Nita's kitchen - He tried to imitate my cooking, hehehehe Pic03: Bang Tepy tried to cook Salmon Fried Rice - He is crazy about Salmon. All my bags are packed I am ready to go I am standing here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say goodbye Inilah sepotong lagi yang menurut Oma sangat everlasting, dan sangat cocok untuk perpisahan. Hiks, jadi terharu! Ya, Oma tadi pagi baru saja berpisah. Abang Tepy hari ini berangkat ke Belanda, tepatnya tadi pagi jam 10.40. Dia akan transit di KL, dan jam 12 malam baru berangkat ke Amsterdam ( poor him ). Yet, he will meet up my bro at KL. “Lho, kok Stefy berangkat duluan, Oma?” Iya, kan dia mulai kuliahnya bulan September awal. En fyi only, dia belum punya rumah. Jadi, misi dia ke belanda duluan adalah mencari tempat untuk berteduh (hueheheh,.. bahasanya rek!) “Lha, Oma kapan berangkat?” Insya Allah 19 September. Semoga semua lancar ya. Soalnya mpe sekarang visa belum keluar, although passport uda dikasih ke kedutaan Belanda di Jakarta. Tiket belum terissued, lha wong visa belum ada. Dan uang menipis,…. Hiks! Aniwe, sekarang Oma berstatus JS , alias Jomblo Sementara . He...

Press Conference: Oma akhirnya mengaku! Setelah sekian lama bungkam, akhirnya Oma harus angkat suara. Supaya tidak ada gossip simpang siur yang, kadang, membuat Oma menjadi tersudut. ( kok kayak bahasa infotainment yach?! ) Mungkin sudah banyak dari kalian yang mendengar, baik langsung dari Oma maupun dari oknum-oknum yang kurang bertanggung jawab, karena sudah Oma sumpah di bawah kamus bahasa Inggris – Indonesia ( ga berlaku ya? ), tapi tetap saja menyebarkan berita ini. Ya, Oma akan kuliah lagi ke Belanda :) WHAT? Berita ini bisa jadi sangat mengejutkan, tapi bisa jadi sangat menyedihkan (yeah, Oma tahu, kalian pasti akan sangat merindukan Oma :D). Beginilah kronologis Oma akhirnya memutuskan berangkat ke Belanda: Tahun 2007: Oma mencari-cari Uni (baca: university) yang cocok, both cocok dengan keinginan dan impian, dan cocok dengan kantong. Sambil terus mencari dan apply-apply beasiswa ( mulai ADS, Ford, Stuned, de el el! ). Awalnya pengen di UK, trus pindahk ke Aussie, dan akhirnya...

Sudah hampir 8 tahun pacaran. Hal-hal yang dulunya romantis, sekarang sudah tidak begitu dianggap romantis. Hal-hal yang dulunya membuat deg-degan, sekarang sudah biasa-biasa saja. Lha wong, sudah 8 tahun pacaran! Masak udah 8 tahun, telpon-telponan masih romantis??! Hehehe,… ngga kaleee! :P Tapi tadi malam ada hal lutju, yang quite romantic , yang Oma alami. Jadi, lately Oma sering dengerin radio berfrekuensi 92.5 FM. Banyak lagu-lagu melo-belo yang enak-enak, kadang ada lagu-lagu tahun 90-an yang membangkitkan memory , lagu-lagu easy listening untuk meredam panasnya siang. Pokoknya, adem aja deh kalo dengerin radio ini! Hari ini, mobil Bang Tepy kembali dari bengkel ( setelah beberapa minggu ‘menginap’ di bengkel karena harus ganti pintu akibat kena ‘luka’ tabrakan) . Nampaknya, radionya juga berganti setting-an. Pas tadi malam, Oma bengong di mobil, nunggu Bang Tepy beli mie goreng, Oma cari-cari radio station yang lagunya enak-enak. Tiba-tiba, pas Oma mencet tombol nomor 4, tiba...
